For so many years, from the time I-69 opened until just recently, one of the major ways that Muncie folk got to that highway to dart down to Indy or up to the Fort was via Exit 41. Then, randomly, they decided to extend I-69 to Evansville and just... threw a 2 in front of all the exit numbers.
