Locker Room Village Bar
The Locker Room (later known as The Giant Locker Room) was a sports bar and eatery in the Village that opened in 1999. First located in the old University Square block on the southeast corner of Martin & University (now Village Promenade), the establishment moved in 2007 to the oddball two-level restaurant formerly home to King Gyros and Flying Tomato Pizza. The Locker Room remained a quirky Village favorite until New Years Eve in 2014, its last night in operation, another Village casualty of the sprawling Village Promenade project and its new corporate tenants.
