Memorial. No, 12th!
Never, ever in the history of Muncie has the street today officially called "Memorial Dr." ever, EVER been officially named 12th Street. NEVER. This street, which is indeed the parallel thoroughfare routed between 11th and 13th Streets, started life as Ohmer Avenue; it was renamed Memorial Dr. at the end of World War I and never looked back. And yet, most of Muncie (myself included) has referred to this street as 12th more than once.
