Robert Q's Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge

Robert Q’s was a Madison Street eatery opened in 1968 by Robert Quakenbush. The restaurant had specials of ribs, fried chicken, and filet mignon, as well as seafood dinners and frog legs, and frequently featured live music. Their slogan was “buy your booze at Robert Q’s,” and they featured live music. Robert Q’s location was closed by the mid-1980s, the building  was later reopened as Jokers Wild, a gentleman’s club, in 1986 by new owner Jerry Harty, much to the dismay of many Munsonians.  Jokers Wild closed in 2015 and was demolished for the Southside Burger King location that stands at Madison at 15th.
