The Checkr’d Flag was a clothing store located in the Muncie Mall, opened late 1972, and was marketed specifically to young people. Upon opening, they held a raffle including a grand prize of a honda motorcycle, and sold clothing such as leather jackets, levis jeans, cable cords, and other “different” styles
The Check’rd Flag sponsored many giveaways and events, such as a Beta Theta Pi boxing event, and frequently advertised their trendy, unique clothes. They were last mentioned in the newspaper in late 1989, but live on due to their memorable logo
